The plot has not yet been revealed, but fans can expect some big reveals regarding the characters. It looks like Mark Hamill, who played Luke Skywalker, will also be reprising his role alongside John Boyega as Finn, Gwendolyne Christie as Captain Phasma, and Daisy Ridley as Rey.
Episode VIII might bring answers to questions surrounding the life of the Force Awakens characters. Who ditched Ridley a.k.a Rey, on Jakku? Who are her parents? Is she related to Ren?
