Solus maintainer here- please retract this article. Our statement doesn’t say any of that. We’re simply not implementing anything that’s still theoretical. As our actual statement says, “Right now, it remains unclear which of these will actually become law, how they will be enforced, or whether they will directly affect Solus and other Linux-based operating systems.”.

How you got from “This is a complicated situation and we don’t know how it’ll impact us yet” to “Solus takes a stand against the tyranny of age verification” I have no idea. Next time, please ask us for comment first! If you’d done that, I think you’d have found that there really isn’t a story here.
