If you were a fan of “Friday Night Lights” during the height of its popularity, you’ve probably been wondering about all those movie rumors that cropped up as soon as the series finale aired. Star Connie Britton says she’s down, but you’d have a hard time convincing her onscreen-husband, Kyle Chandler.
“You know, there’s been a lot of talk about a lot of things. And some people are really excited about it, and other people aren’t,” Britton said on “Watch What Happens Live”. “I love the idea. I think it would be a great idea…When they asked the question at the [Austin Television Festival] panel I kind of looked over at Kyle, because I feel like he and I are sort of on different sides of the fence with the movie idea. I think it’s gonna be up to more than just us, actually. But we’ll see. It’ll be fun, I think.”
Britton says she does agree with Chandler that the movie would have to be done in just the right way for both of them to be involved.
“We would only do it if it was gonna be a great movie. That’s the thing,” she said.
Britton has moved on to two more television hits–“American Horror Story” and “Nashville”, where she’s currently tearing it up with Hayden Panettiere; Chandler has since starred in “Super 8”, “Argo”, and “Zero Dark Thirty”.
