Cissy Houston talks to Bobbi Kristina every day. An aunt holds a phone up to the comatose girl’s ear. Cissy Houston’s grand-daughter and only blood link to her already-deceased daughter Whitney Houston lies in Peachtree Christian Hospice in Atlanta. Cissy Houston, a gospel singer and woman of faith, waits.
Bobbi Kristina has been in hospice since June 24. Back in March, before word came that Bobbi Kristina would never leave a hospice bed alive, Cissy Houston told WBLS she has prayed, asks others to pray, but has left it at that.
“I give it to God one time, because I know he’s able. And I cannot change a thing,” Cissy Houston said. “I’m asking everybody: Just pray to the Lord who we know can do something about it.”
“If he works a miracle, thank God,” Cissy Houston continued. “If it happens the other way, I’m all right.”
She has endured so much joy and so much pain. Praying for Cissy Houston today!!

Cissy Houston’s faith and peace in this time is reminiscent of how she reacted to the death of her own daughter, Whitney Houston. In a letter she wrote to Whitney and had put in Whitney’s funeral program, Cissy Houston spoke of otherworldly events that took place around Whitney’s death.
The presence of God blessed our home with life, love, joy and peace. You and your brothers were the center of divine love attracting God’s richest blessings. You were a child of God. We had so much love in our home that was truly from on high.
You always gave without expecting anything in return and our love was the force that multiplied these blessings higher and higher. I never told you that when you were born the Holy Spirit told me that you would not be with me long and I thank God for the beautiful flower he allowed me to raise and cherish for 48 years.
God said it’s time Nippy; your work is done. The other day on February 11th He came for you. But not without warning. For two months now I have been depressed, crying, lonesome and sad not knowing why.
On Saturday, before I found out about your transition, my doorbell rang. I went to answer it but there was no one there. It rang again and again, no one was there so I called the concierge to tell him someone was ringing my doorbell. He checked the cameras and told me that no one was there. You promised me you were coming to spend time with me after the Grammys. I believe the spirits allowed you to come after all.
Rest my baby girl in Peace, you’re now in the arms of Jesus.
It must really be so heartbreaking for Ms. Cissy Houston losing her only daughter and now her only granddaughter by Whitney. just sad.
