Cheryl Hines and Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. purchased a $5 million Malibu mansion. The compound is said to resemble a ‘Connecticut barn with rustic beams and wooden floors.’ Comprised of four bedrooms, three bathrooms, a guest house, a recording studio, a pool with a jacuzzi, and an outdoor fire pit, some might question whether it is actually large enough for the couple’s large brood. Between the two of them, there are seven children in their immediate family.

Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. was married to the late Mary Kennedy, who took her life in the family’s Bedford, New York home, back in August of 2012. She left behind four children who were teens and a preteen at the time of her passing. Even though the couple was estranged and divorce proceedings were underway, Robert Kennedy was still legally married to Mary Kennedy at the time of her death, but was said to have been dating Cheryl Hines at that time, too.

Hines and Kennedy tied the knot last month and have now made this new 1-acre west coast abode their permanent home. The actress and the politician purchased the home from eight-time Emmy Award winning composer David Kurtz. A grand piano is evidence of his musical influence on the property.

In addition to the aforementioned rooms, Cheryl Hines and Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.’s new home also features high ceilings, French doors, and plenty of Italian tile. Cheryl Hines sold her Brentwood, California home for $2.995 million and Kennedy sold his Bedford, New York estate (the one in which he once lived with Mary Kennedy) for $3.95 million.

Cheryl Hines was most recently known in the acting world for her role on the TV show Suburgatory. ABC cancelled the series after three seasons, however.
