Bryan Cranston has had a long and successful career, from his time on Seinfeld as the scene-stealing dentist to his role on Malcolm In The Middle as the well-meaning, hairy dad. But it was his portrayal of a cancer-stricken family man on Breaking Bad that captured the hearts and minds of a nation, and it’s for this reason that James Franco is currently acting like a huge fanboy.

Franco took to Instagram this week to announce the news that he and Cranston will be starring together in Why Him?, a comedy about a loving dad who takes a road trip to see his daughter only to find out she’s gotten involved with a guy who will compete for his attention. James captioned a photo of himself with Cranston in the only way a true fan would.

“Could not be more excited to work with my man, WALTER WHITE!!!!” Franco wrote.

Could not be more excited to work with my man, WALTER WHITE!!!

James Franco also posted to social media this week about his brother, Dave, who got engaged to actress Allison Brie this month. Dave is an actor as well and saw recent success with the Seth Rogen film Neighbors, in which he played a slightly lost frat boy.

Congrats Davy and Allison!!! engaged!!! I WUUUUUV YOU

Bryan Cranston made headlines earlier this month when he appeared on The Nerdist podcast and talked politics, saying he thinks GOP candidate Donald Trump is “refreshing”.

“I actually like his candor. ‘You’re an idiot. I’m a winner, you’re a loser,'” Bryan Cranston said. “There’s something so refreshing about shaking up that world that is all about being handled and here comes this loose cannon who has terrible ideas and would be a horrible president, but there’s something great about his ‘I-don’t-give-a-shit’ attitude that really kind of keeps others honest. I think it’s a surprise benefit to the country, actually.”
