Brad Pitt has been busy being a dad, the almost-husband of Angelina Jolie, and head of various charities and organizations, but somewhere in the middle of all that, he’s still managing to make movies. The upcoming “Killing Them Softly”, which hits theaters in October, pairs him once again with director Andrew Dominik, who helmed “The Assassination Of Jesse James By The Coward Robert Ford”.
“Killing Them Softly” is based on the novel Cogan’s Trade by George V. Higgins and tells the darkly comedic story of a degenerate gambler, two unfortunate crooks, and a contract killer, among others. With a stellar cast–including former Soprano James Gandolfini and Ray Liotta–the film looks appealing enough to appease even the most old-school gangster-flick lover.
Opening October 19th.
