The world has been shocked by the death of Robin Williams. Most of the world knew the actor through his performances, acting, and comedy, Most are sad to see yet another iconic performer gone. However, for the select few who knew the man in person, the loss is even more devastating.
“This morning, I lost my husband and my best friend, while the world lost one of its most beloved artists and beautiful human beings. I am utterly heartbroken,” his wife Susan Schneider said, “as he is remembered, it is our hope the focus will not be on Robin’s death, but on the countless moments of joy and laughter he gave to millions.”
Fellow actor Ben Stiller wrote on Twitter: “A tweet cannot begin to describe the hugeness of Robin Williams heart and soul and talent. This is so sad. #RobinWilliams.”
Billy Crystal felt the same as Stiller, but in less words:
No words.

Crystal and Robins have not only been colleagues but long time friends. Crystal introduced Williams to Yankee Stadium. When Crystal fulfilled a lifelong dream of playing for the Yankees in 2008, Robins was there. “I was just so proud,” Williams said.
The comedians only appeared together in four movies: Deconstructing Harry, In Search of Dr. Seuss, Hamlet, and Fathers’ Day.
“Williams and Crystal fill the archetypal roles of most great movie comedy teams: clown and straight man, stooge and smoothie, boyish goon and suave slickster,” critic for the Chicago Tribune Michael Wilmington said of their performance together in Fathers’ Day, “Like Laurel and Hardy or Martin and Lewis, they have that offbeat zingy antagonism/chemistry. Fathers’ Day is supposed to be a comedy about the belated traumas and joys of parenting as experienced by two fortyish non-fathers. But it’s much more a farce about the joys of mismatched buddyhood. Luckily, director Ivan Reitman has the right buddies working for him. Crystal and Williams squeeze more laughs out of this movie than it deserves to deliver.”
