Earlier today on Kotaku, a reader emailed in 2 pictures. One of the release date and some pre-order bonuses. The other picture is the interesting one, it features the hero infront of the an American flag holding what appears to be a powder handgun and a tomahawk, and sporting a bow and a quiver of arrows on his back. This is very reminiscent of an American Revolution setting.

Rumor has it that the game will be set in that era and that the protagonist will be a half American, half Native-American that meets up with George Washington and does missions such as tracking Red Coats.

The Assassin’s Creed games are developed by Ubisoft Montreal. They are responsible for great games such as the “Splinter Cell” games, “Prince of Persia”, and the “Far Cry” games, including the upcoming open world shooter Far Cry 3.

Assassin’s Creed 3 is set for a North American Release on October 30th, 2012 and is being released on the PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U, and PC.
