Anita Baker Blocks Cheryl Lynn On Twitter, Got Called Out Over It

A Twitter or Instagram war between Kylie Jenner and Blac Chyna is so common that people hardly raise eyebrows over it anymore. But a feud between songbirds Anita Baker and Chery Lyn is practically unheard of.

Until recently that is.

The “Got to be Real” singer surprised everyone with a one-sided rant that seemed to come out of nowhere.

Lyn’s opening salvo was a screenshot that showed she was blocked from following the “Sweet Love” hit maker or from viewing her tweets, followed by her admitting that she “should’ve known something was up when you ignored me.”

That was quickly followed by numerous tweets from the 58-year-old R&B singer that ranged from snarky (“Oh, I get it probably cuz I will sing you down on the stage is that it?”) to hurt (“ive been nothing but sweet to you, and I get blocked.”)

But despite the alleged offense that Baker did, Lyn tweeted that she “will always respect your artistry” and she still loves the Rapture artist.

Everybody was probably confused at this point and wondering why the two divas were fighting (or if they were even fighting) so Lyn clarified the issue with another message.

“Just to clear things up there’s no beef between me and Anita. I just needed answers that she wasn’t giving this was the only way. #AllLove,” she tweeted, even adding a heart emoticon just to emphasize her love for Baker.

Lyn might have been really hurt over being blocked by Baker, but her Twitter rampage was admittedly amusing for its tameness and the fact that her 57-year-old contemporary never rose to the bait and never acknowledged her rant either.

Some Twitter followers even commented on the alleged “beef” between the two divas, describing it like a fight between two aunts.

Here’s hoping that the two do kiss and make up soon because the world is obviously not ready for Twitter wars like this.
