Angus T. Jones, who played the “half man” on the hugely successful sitcom “Two And A Half Men” for a decade, resurfaced recently in a video in which he says he stands by what she said in 2012 regarding the show.
Jones appeared in a video that quickly went viral, urging viewers to stop watching the show because it was “filth”.
“If you watch Two and a Half Men, please stop watching Two and a Half Men,” the actor said. “I’m on Two and a Half Men, and I don’t want to be on it. Please stop watching it, and filling your head with filth…people say it’s just entertainment. Do some research on the effects of television and your brain, and I promise you you’ll have a decision to make when it comes to television, especially with what you watch. Jake from Two and a Half Men means nothing.”
After the video made the rounds on the web, Jones was taken from full-time status on the show to “recurring”, and then left altogether. Now, the young actor is heavily involved in his church and is going to school in Colorado. He says he is apologetic that his words hurt “Men” creator Chuck Lorre in 2012, but is not sorry he made the decision to get away from Hollywood.
“I was a paid hypocrite because I wasn’t ok with it, but I was still doing it,” he said.
