Google has released an update to its Google Play services, one that brings some improvements to battery life for a variety of devices.

Google Play is an important component of Android, providing the basis for the Google Play Store, as well as important system and security features. The April 2025 update improves battery life via improvements to Google Play services.

System Management

The update also includes improvements to Google Wallet, as well as Android’s AI capabilities.

Wallet

While Google doesn’t explain what users can expect from the battery improvements, any improvement at all is welcome.
