Amber Riley collapse: This isn’t the sort of headline “Glee” fans want to read. While attending an Academy screening of the insanely popular television program, Amber Riley — best known amongst Gleeks as Mercedes Jones — fainted on the red carpet, much to the absolute horror of just about everyone in attendance.

However, according to her latest tweets, Riley is apparently alive and well, although few explanations have been offered up as to why, exactly, the collapse took place. According to the “Glee” star, it was the numerous flashes from photographers’ cameras that sent her on a direct route towards the pavement.

This is what she officially had to say about the incident:

Hey guys, I’m okay 🙂 I got a little dizzy from all the photog flashes! You’d think I’s be used to it by now, still a red carpet amateur I guess. Gonna get checked out but I feel fine. Thank you for all the concern and well wishes.

She went on to thank followers who had sent her countless well-wishes. Extra kudos went to some of the photographers who were around during the event for not taking any pictures of her after the collapse. Today she posted the following tweet, indicating that the singer/actress is still feeling the side effects with her public incident.

By the way — if you were among those who were wondering if Riley is pregnant, you can stop speculating right now. Turns out, she’s not expecting. Not right now, anyway.
