Amazon announced on Wednesday that Prime Now, its one-hour delivery service, is now available in Los Angeles and Orange County, including Santa Monica, Redondo Beach, Silver Lake, Irvine, and other areas.
The company now has four Prime Now hubs in Souther California, which cater to one-hour delivery on thousands of products from paper towels to TVs.
In addition to all of that stuff, they’ll add deliveries from local stores in the next few days. These will include stores like Sprouts Farmers Market, Bristol Farms, Sprinkles Cupcakes, Fresh & Easy, Erewhon Organic Grocer and 99 Ranch Market.
“Customers love the convenience of getting items delivered right to their doors in under an hour,” said Stephenie Landry, director of Amazon’s Prime Now service. “The logistical expertise that we’ve developed since day one fuels Prime Now and we’re excited to expand one and two-hour delivery to Los Angeles and surrounding areas.”
Prime Now delivery is available from 8AM to Midnight every day in the L.A. area. Two-hour delivery is free, and one-hour delivery is $7.99.
Prime Now is now available in 13 cities. Last week, the company announced that its Seattle customers can now have food delivered from local restaurants. That followed a launch in the same area enabling customers to order beer, wine, and spirits for delivery.
