While photographers, reporters, and various members of the paparazzi are always in the news for overstepping their bounds with celebrities, one Ukrainian reporter was on the receiving end of his own personal foul today when Will Smith smacked him in the face for kissing him.
It all went down at the Moscow premiere of "Men In Black III", where the red carpet was full of press members eager for a stop-and-chat with the film's stars. When Will reached this particular reporter--who is apparently known for his lovey-dovey manner towards celebrities--he got a friendly hug and the European double-kiss, but it ended with the two men brushing lips, and Smith pushed the reporter away from him before smacking him across the face. He proceeded to continue his walk down the carpet in an awkward moment, saying, "He's lucky I didn't sucker-punch him." He then acknowledged that the entire thing had just been caught on camera to the next reporter down the line.
While the smack wasn't hard enough to do damage to the man, it does raise the question of whether or not such harsh reaction is warranted. Americans aren't used to people invading their personal space so...well, personally. But then again, he was in another country, and like they say..."When in Rome, do as the Romans do."
No doubt no matter what side people take, this story will cause quite a stir once it makes rounds on the interweb.
