Walking Dead Back, Dish Network Customers Rejoice

As previously reported, AMC and Dish Network have finally settled litigation, and reached a deal to get the channel back on Dish for its many customers. Since the satellite provider lost the channel, there have been numerous angry customers, and the whole thing undoubtedly caused many to leave the service.

Fans of shows like The Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, Mad Men, etc., who stuck around, can breathe a sigh of relief. The Walking Dead, of course, just launched its third season this month, and the deal was done in time for Dish to get the second episode, which premiered on Sunday night. AMC had offered the first episode to Dish customers online, free of charge.

Figuring out where and/or how to watch The Walking Dead will no longer be an issue for Dish customers, as the companies have agreed to a long-term deal.

You can feel the excitement radiating from Twitter:

Of course, some are still bitter:

I am pretty disappointed about how S3 is going. What a waste of a great opportunity. That ninja chick with her two amputated slave zombies held my interest all these months. I couldn’t wait to see her, to see what that was all about… and what do they give me? Too much gore and soap opera, and they turn that ninja chick into another ordinary character.
