The Danish Girl is set to be a big winner at this year's British Academy Film Awards, sometimes called the BAFTA awards , which is sort of the British equivalent to the Oscars.
In the first place, the two star actors from The Danish Girl are up for best actor and actress.
Eddie Redmayne, before he donned dress and makeup for The Danish Girl, won best actor last year for his role as Stephen Hawking in The Theory of Everything.
The only other actor to ever have won two consecutive best actor BAFTAs was Colin Firth for A Single Man in 2009 and The King's Speech in 2010.
Swedish actress Alicia Vikander, who plays the wife of Eddie Redmayne's transgender artist character, was nominated for best actress.

After the announcements were made, Vikander said she was "truly honored" to be nominated for best actress for The Danish Girl. She was also nominated for best supporting actress for her film Ex Machina.
She said, "The Danish Girl and Ex Machina have been such gifts of projects for me."
She added, "The fact that both of these projects were driven from the UK, with a predominantly British cast and crew and that both these films have been so generously recognised by BAFTA today, makes this even more poignant for me."
The Danish Girl was also nominated for best British film, and is up against some heavy competition.
The Danish Girl will have to fight its way to the top against contenders Ex Machina, Brooklyn, Amy Winehouse documentary Amy, 45 Years and sci-fi spectacle The Lobster.
