Taylor Swift, Harry Styles Have Peaceful Encounter
Taylor Swift was lovely at the Oscars on Sunday evening. She attended the star studded event with her good friend and fellow recording artist Ed Sheeran. It was at an after party, however, that some wondered if things might not be quite so lovely. Swift and Sheeran ran right smack into One Direction’s own Harry Styles.
Styles and Taylor Swift dated for about three months a little more than a year ago and he reportedly left her stranded during what was supposed to be a romantic New Year’s Eve. Rumors say Swift is saving herself for marriage and Styles wanted just about everything she had saved up. Those who held their breath on Sunday after the Oscars needn’t have worried, however, as Taylor and Harry chatted amicably at the Weinstein party held at the Montage Beverly Hills Hotel. It’s likely Ed Sheeran stayed near while the conversation ensued. He is close friends with both Taylor Swift and Harry Styles. Sources say since the bitterness of the split dissipated the two have been in occasional contact.
“They’ve stayed in touch and were speaking for a while [at the party]. People think they don’t talk but they’re friends and on good terms. There are no bad feelings between them whatsoever,” a source explained.
Swift tweeted about the fun she had this weekend and she even posted an Instagram filled with fun shots of her with her friends, including Ed Sheeran.

Taylor Swift even wrote her huge hit song I Knew You Were Trouble about Harry Styles and she made no bones about it when the song was released. She even sang it at an event where the One Direction mates were present shortly after her split from Harry Styles.
It appears that perhaps both Taylor Swift and Harry Styles have grown up a bit and have moved beyond their painful split. If they haven’t, they certainly did a good job of covering up their real feelings at the Oscars after party they both attended on Sunday.
