It's been almost three years since her ex-husband tragically committed suicide, and now former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Taylor Armstrong is married again.
The ceremony took place at the Bel Air Bay Club in Southern, Calif., today, April 5, and it was put together by David Tutera, the famed celebrity wedding planner.
In a 2013 interview, Armstrong told E! News that her and her new husband, John Bluher, started having romantic feelings for each other after she reached out to him for legal assistance. From there the two became good friends, and after that they became an official couple.
"We knew one another through mutual friends," Armstrong explained. "John helped guide me through all the legal and financial challenges with which I was confronted. From that, a deeper friendship grew, and I remember one day last summer when we were in a business meeting and we both looked up at each other and suddenly realized we were looking at each other in a different light. There's been no turning back since that day."
In addition, the blonde reality star said she hopes people can learn from her past marriage, since she suffered a great deal from domestic violence and sadness after her ex-husband's suicide. Armstrong says she wants people to know that just because you're going through a difficult time right now, it doesn't mean that it'll last forever, and finding someone new is always in the cards.
"[I] can become an inspiration to people who have been through unhealthy relationships or who have suffered loss," she said. "I never thought I would allow myself to feel again. The lesson is, don't settle for less than what you want and deserve. There really is someone out there for each of us who will love, cherish and respect us. Love born out of real friendship brought those things into my life for the first time."
