Tantrum Over Burger: He Didn’t Order Cheese

A Pennsylvania man who received a botched order at McDonald’s last week went on a rampage, reportedly throwing chairs and hurling an employee’s cell phone across a parking lot when she attempted to call the police…and all because his burger came with cheese on it.

Because he allegedly assaulted an employee, criminal charges have been filed against him. He will be charged with simple assault, disorderly conduct and criminal mischief.

There have been some odd stories involving fast food restaurants this year, including a boy finding a finger in his Arby’s sandwich, a child finding a nosering in a McDonald’s breakfast burrito, and a man who was kicked out of a McDonald’s for wearing glasses.

Shalom. The man was discriminated against due to his religious beliefs. Mixing meat and dairy is not kosher! That’s what the media won’t tell you! I hope he sues McDonald’s!

    • Doug

Oh please…stop with the discrimination BS! Such a religious man! PUHLEEZE! A man of God certainly wouldn’t go ballistic over a botched order. How about being an adult and simply going back and asking them to fix it? Ever thought about that? No excuse for that type of behavior.

    • digit

Yeah @Dago…that’s the reasonable response. Not politely go up and tell them they gave him the wrong burger at which point they’d gladly give him the correct one. Apparently we can destroy restaurants and assault people for making a mistake now. Good to know.

    • Michael

If he were eating kosher, (or halal), I doubt he’d be at McDonalds…they store meat & cheese in the same fridge, that’s a no-no

      • Lee

        Michael,
I worked at McDonalds for 6 years, and they DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT store meat & cheese in the same fridge. The cheese is stored and the burger patties are store in the freezer. Then the required amount of burgers are removed and stored into a reach in freezer.

        • Lee

          Michael,
I worked at McDonalds for 6 years, and they DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT store meat & cheese in the same fridge. The cheese is stored in the walk-in and the burger patties are store in the freezer. Then the required amount of burgers are removed and stored into a reach in freezer. Edited for spelling.

    • Ken

I call BS on your discrimination…

Since McD’s cooks bacon, canadian bacon and McRib pork products on the same grill they cook the burgers, it means that nothing cooked on the McDonald’s grill is kosher.

Cheese or not, that is zero reason to throw a tantrum. Politely ask for a new burger like all other civilized adults.

Your kind of thinking is what causes religious idiot-zealots to strap explosives to themselves, kill a bunch of innocent victims and call it justified.

    • Robert neel

McDonald’s burgers are Kosher??? I figure he has some sort of dairy intolerance. It’s really easy to be nice to people when you explain that the order was not correct. I think that throwing chairs and cellphones over a piece of cheese is just a little overboard.

      • Tony

“A little overboard in behavior?” My friend’s 2 year old is better mannered. Honestly, people must have extreme issues with not being the center of attention. The extremes people go to JUST to be noticed – ridiculous!

  • Vincent Cassaro

In a way I DON’T BLAME HIM… Working behind the counter is NOT ROCKET SCIENCE, it’s simple sh** and I can’t tell you how many times McD’s has SCREWED up my order. Now when you get coffee if you go over to the vending soda machines you’ll find you have to go back to get milk & sugar. NO BIG DEAL but they won’t ask you if you want milk & sugar in the first place and frankly I find it to be a pain in the ass. Do I have to now know the protocol of each & every fast food joint I go into ???

    • Howie

Vincent, you are perhaps the most ignorant human being ever made. You dislike fast food places? Don’t go.

      • 1958Debs

No, he’s right, and you’re the tard. I ordered a large shake at McD’s and the the dumb twit kept telling me that the medium cup she was pouring it in was the large. I had to show her myself the difference between the sizes of the cups and then “Oh, okay, that’s the large”, speaking like a spaced out zombie(I say Winnie the Pooh’s donkey, but I can’t spell it, and yes, she sounded exactly like him). Dumb as a stack of bricks. They advertise as a convenience, but it’s not if you spend more then 3 times the time arguing your order then placing it.

  • Anne

Wow! If he gets that mad over a hamburger, he needs help.

  • Mike

Haha the comments already make me laugh. People thinking its a big deal because they messed up your order? There are bigger problems in this world to get mad about. If he is going to get that mad about a burger, then MAKE IT YOURSELF. You are lucky to have the convenience of someone else making it for you.

  • Ron Kent

It is all Big McCheese Jim Skinners’ (CEO) fault! The McBuck stops here. He is ultimately responsible for ensuring his McPeople are properly McTrained. At an 8 million dollar salay, the McBuck stops there.

  • Insighter

    It’s Bush’s fault.

  • The Ripper

I know EXACTLY where this guy is coming from. I don’t like Cheeseburgers. I like Hamburgers. If you look on the McDonald’s menu, the have 2 different items.
    #1. Hamburger
    #2. Cheesburger
If you order a hamburger, they always give you a cheeseburger. They mess it up EVERY TIME!!! I don’t get it. I didn’t order a cheeseburger, I ordered a Hamburger!
It’s literally gotten to the point where if I go out to eat anywhere, not just McDonald’s, I have to say, I would like a Hamburger, with no cheese. Think about that sentence. It’s just ridiculous.

    • david

WOW!!.. you definitely need to take a chill pill AND get some counseling!!

  • wally gunner

this is incredible, i threw a tantrum because my family wasn’t supporting me in developing my ideas, so i reached out to strangers and they put me in EMH for 14 days…dantes inferno is real…shhhhhaddddesss….errieee.e……..

  • winston stevens

wow, get a frigging life. If you’re so stressed that cheese on your beurger sets you into a rampage, you need serious help. Get a grip, take it back and ask them to fix it. No need to go ballistic, even if they have a past history of messing up your order. If it is THAT bad, DONT frigging go. See, isnt that easy? As for the “kosher” comment, get a grip, quit whining, and most definitely, get a LIFE.

A normal person’s dialogue: “Excuse me Ma’am, I’m sorry to be such a bother, but my order is wrong. I didn’t order cheese on my burger. Is there anyway possible to remake this order without cheese? I would appreciate it very much. Thank you.” See how that works? Easy peasy lemon squeezy. No yelling, cursing, getting physical or smashing cell phones, no cops, nobody going to jail. =)

It’s the frigging McDonalds food, it’ll do it to you!

  • Angela

i doubt this was the issue that ticked him off. I am guessing this had happened many times before, he had probably had the worst day ever when everything seemed to go wrong, maybe wife left him, maybe lost job or job promotion, and a few more things…then he goes to get a burger and calm down from his horrible day…and BAM they mess up his order AGAIN….and then he snaps and tosses chairs. I doubt one bad burger was the only cause of the outburst. Not excusing it, just saying.

  • Ron

I feel for the man. I don’t know how many times I’ve ordered fast food through the drive through to find out the order is screwed up. It’s OK if it’s once, but multiple times at the same place. Come on Man! You have a simple job. Grab bun, put burger on bun, add toppings, wrap and serve. This isn’t rocket science. And for those who say you should eat at home then, stop kidding yourself when you know you’ve wolfed down some fast food at sometime or another.

    • http://www.webpronews.com/tantrum-over-burger-he-didnt-order-cheese-2012-12 Colin

You “feel” for the man? Going on a rampage, reportedly throwing chairs and hurling an employee’s cell phone across a parking lot when she attempted to call the police…and all because his burger came with cheese on it. You feel for the man? This guy needs serious anger management and you’re in need a psych eval if you “feel for this man.” O_o

  • tony

McPukes hardly serves what I would consider a hamburger anyhow. If only anything they served looked as good as the pic on this page. My kids school cafeteria has better burgers.

  • sportyg883

OK here is an example of a person who is capable of bringing a gun and opening fire in a public place…I hope they search his property, and make sure he gets some help…Obviously has serious issues…Gun control? Nope…People control

Cheese is the spice of life?

  • Robert M. Medina

Ever notice that when U place an order at McDonalds,(I normally don’t go there) It takes maybe 2 “takes” to get the order correct? I can understand his tantrum, with all due respect some time the language barrier is to great. I ordered 2 quarter pounders w/cheese no onions and xtra pickles. Order came—–: 2 double quarter pounders with cheese mounds of pickles: I did NOT throw a tantrum. Fries were fresh. I was amazed!…That is kind of like hitting the Jackpot at a F.F. restaurant.

    • http://www.webpronews.com/tantrum-over-burger-he-didnt-order-cheese-2012-12 Colin

I’m sorry but it’s not that serious; it’s just not. There’s no reason to resort to violence, verbal abuse or destruction of another’s personal property, all because your fastfood order was botched. That’s not normal behavior. O_o

    • deborah

I can understand a person getting mad over those orders at some of these fast food resturants. But to go in there and throw chairs and throw someones phone is ridiculous behavior. You can’t do that BUT….. I can understand how it might be a fleeting thought.

No way! Not the ubiquitous Cheeser! Cheeseburgers are cool. Beef, maybe some lettuce and tomatos, and then the melting cheese. Carnivores and Vegetarians, you both have to admit (maybe),that a freshly made cheeser provides a good source of protein, to maintain bulk. That is important to maintein strength for the practical things, like vacumming, doing the laudndry, etc. But, if you can find other sources of protein, like a can of Cannelli beans, then that should do. Bon Appetit.

  • Missing Mom and Dad

Better get this guy neutered before the idiot has children! My goodness get a grip. Why can’t we have more patience and kindness in the world??? Anyhow, get some help and stop the rampages at McDonald’s you moron!!

    • Jennifer

@Missing_Mom_and_Dad: You do the “more patience and kindness” first, and then we’ll try it. Oh, that’s right, you just called someone a moron and suggested we neuter him. That’s truly patient and kind.

If he was worried about Kosher, why is he eating at a place that serves McRib? That is a serious no-no to have a pork product anywhere near anything! Someone, somewhere is confused or not giving the whole truth.

  • http://MSN Lily

My lil bro once cried and refused to eat his burger because there wasnt cheese. He blamed it on the order people. Most people try to earn money to get a better job, especially teens who mess up orders sometimes.

  • http://MSN Lily

My lil bro once cried because he didnt order cheese on his burger. Pathetic.

  • Al

Can you blame him? Most of the people who work at these places don’t give a sh t about customer service. I would rather eat my boring home made burger than have some kids f ck up my order because they have no work ethic. Plus McD’s is gross.

    • Mr. X

Yes I do blame him. They may have got his order wrong but that doesn’t give him the right to react like a 3 year old and throw a tantrum rather than a mature adult and just politely ask for what he ordered.

Also I highly doubt they got his order wrong on purpose or because they don’t care. They are humans and humans make mistakes(I guess you must be perfect though).

  • bj

I wonder if they biggie sized his fries also?

How old is this guy?? He’s very immature! Probably a spoiled brat, to boot!

why is it every time I order a 1/4 pounder and drive away from McDonalds I end up getting a 1/4 pounder with cheese with cheese that I did not want and always pay for.

    • Mike

Because it”s a ” Quarter Pounder with cheese ” as Advertised . If you dont want no stinkin cheese , you got to order it that way.
