Tagg Romney Apologized: Too Little, Too Late

When Tagg Romney said he wanted to run up to President Obama during the debates and “take a swing at him”, he must have known he’d receive some backlash for it. Not for thinking it, but for admitting it in a public forum (a radio interview). Apparently, he didn’t think much of it until Twitter and other social media sites blew up about it.

When asked how he reacted when Obama accused Romney’s father of lying during the debate, he replied, “Jump out of your seat and you want to rush down to the stage and take a swing at him. But you know you can’t do that because, well, first because there’s a lot of Secret Service between you and him, but also because that’s the nature of the process.” He added, “We signed up for it. We’ve gotta kinda sit there and take our punches and then send them right back the other way.”

Now that he’s apologized to Obama–he did so personally after the last debate on Monday night, saying he was “just joking”–many are saying the apology is too little, too late.

More and more American people are realizing that Mitt Romney and the GOP have based an enormous amount of their election strategy on lies, hatred and deceit. From the 72 million Americans that will be left without any health insurance, whatsoever, by year 2020, under Romney’s plan (determined by two independent, non-partisan research studies available to the public), to women and minorities being drastically stripped of their equal rights (because of his refusal to support initiatives like the Lily Ledbetter Act, which enables women to be paid the same as men, provided they do the same work; this was the first act passed by President Obama when he took office) or Hospital Visitation Rights, which allows gay people the same visitation rights as straight people when a loved one is in hospital, sick or dying, Americans are seeing Mitt Romney for who he really is. All across our great nation, we as Americans, have seen from these many months of campaigning and debates, that a Romney/Ryan plan will leave the middle class burdened with much higher taxes while the wealthiest Americans pay less because “it will help inspire job hiring” – which evidence showed us during the Bush years, does not happen. Romney/Ryan are happy to disclose that they will put “trillions” of additional dollars into the military, which the military has *not* asked for, but are somehow, not able to, even over the course of eighteen months of campaigning and four debates, detail in any real specificity, what taxes will be like under their reign. That is not honest. That is not American. That is not integrity and that is certainly not Christian. Mitt Romney also has the highest disapproval rating, of all time, of any Presidential candidate, ever. Higher than Bush. All Americans must understand this. Much of the entire world hates this guy. We should be proud to be Americans. We need a President who represents all of America and that we can be proud of. We are coming out of one of the most difficult economic times in history in large part because of two wars that we are finally ending. We are finally bringing our brothers and sisters home. We cannot go backward. We must go forward. We are Americans. We will prevail.

Well stated, Jonathan. Too bad this commentary isn’t going to reach the undecided voters.
As far as Tagg’s apology goes,,,,insincere and politically motivated. The Romney family must think that the majority of Americans are fundamentally flawed in their political reasoning. And this is incredibly shameful behavior, Tagg. And certainly a self serving reaction to his Twitter, et al criticism.

Tagg Romney OWNS the company providing the electronic voting for Ohio.
I wonder if he will divert his “urge to punch” to subverting the election?

Mitt Romney was the “hair & teeth” money man for Bain, which as most americans don’t know or comprehend, was a leveraged buy-out firm that purchased struggling companies, shut down money-losing operations, shipped viable company operations overseas, and sold off for huge profits (to Bain) those pieces of companies that could be returned to profitability or at least break-even. Mr. Romney never created a job for anyone except his horse trainer, chauffeur, and maids. I hope everyone that votes for him will enjoy their minimum-wage subservient job.

The Moron faith is pretty much like sciencetology created my individuals who decided to start they’re own religion which are generally referred to as a cult, with a a cult like following (like the HBO series Big Love) with leaders.
Rom, went to France to avoid service in Vietam on what they call a mission (it’s basically going around recruiting people to they’re faith) and are sent to different countries around the world, and Rom did his on the French Riveria (nice place to sit out the war).

It’s ironic that we still have this black & white thing going on when we have the most diverse country in the entire world with 300 million people and yet here we are?

I believe the vote for Rom is not so much a vote for him in as much as a vote against the president, and his skin color.
Those of you that are voting for Rom should be ashame of yourselves willing to put our country in harm way because of the president skin color, Rom refuse to fight for this country but feels he has the right to lead it, taag, or whatever his name is would like to take a swing at the president why not instead take a swing at a terrorist in the service of your country in one of our military branches, and take along your four other brother’s who like your Father talk a good fight, but hasn’t fought anywhere or for anyone else outside your own family (maybe it’s a mormon thing).

Case in point, not one of his five sons inclusive of himself who has enjoyed wealth made here in this country are in or ever served in any of our military branches, and you want to put these snucklehead’s in the white because they are white and rich?
If by some odious chance he become president, you people who voted for him will deserve exactly what you get. A bishop in his church and/or pastor has no business bringing his cult like faith into the white house governing me (what happen to separation of church and State)?

I’m sorry, I don’t know the man personally, but when I look at him and hear him, I just don’t trust the guy face or that perpectual grin of his.. To put it simple, I trust this guy as far as I can throw him with two broken arms. I don’t vote parties or skin color, I vote issues… Don’t waste your vote!

JRamon….YOU ROCK!!! I thought I was the only one who hated that irritating grin on Romney, kind of like a used car salesman.
