A Conyers, Georgia man has won a legal battle with retail giant Wal-Mart who accused the man of violating its trademark for selling T-shirts and other items that featured the phrases "Wal-ocaust" and "Wal-Qaeda."

Price-wise, we think a $200 PC is hard to beat.  Wal-Mart (and/or the store’s customers) apparently found fault with something, however, as the company has decided to dedicate its shelf space to something else.

The amount of music that consumers purchased in the U.S. rose by 6 percent in 2007, according to The NPD Group.

An increase in digital download revenues was not able to make up for the decline in CD sales, which resulted in a net 10 percent decline in music spending (from $44 to $40 per capita among Internet users).

Wal-Mart said today that it will only sell high definition DVDs in the Blu-ray format joining ranks with several other companies and movie studios.

The retailer is following in the footsteps of Best Buy, Netflix, Warner Bros. Studio, 20th Century Fox, Walt Disney Co and Lions Gate Entertainment.

Wal-Mart is pulling more than 1,000 magazines from its stores.

Just about every major publisher will be affected. The retailer is thought to be responsible for generating more than 20 percent of all retail magazines in the U.S.
