In January, Segway Inc. announced that it had been acquired by a UK-based company backed by Jimi Heselden, an investor in the company. Now Heselden has passed away, in rather ironic fashion. 

On Sunday, the man fell to his death into the River Wharfe, falling from a cliff while riding a Segway. The Telegraph quotes a Police spokesperson as saying:

Original Article: Rajeev Motwani, an angel investor and Stanford professor, who served as something of a mentor to the Google co-founders as they were getting Google off the ground, was found dead in a swimming pool on Friday from an apparent drowning.

I have not seen any official confirmation of this news yet, only what I have seen on Twitter from the past minute, but a few of Twitterers so far are saying that Kung Fu and Kill Bill star David Carradine has been found dead.

According to the Breaking News Wire, it was an apparent suicide.

Andrew Bourland, the co-founder of ClickZ passed away yesterday morning after battling cardiomyopathy, a form of heart disease. He died around 7:00 am in Reading, Massachusetts.

Leroy Sievers passed away on Friday.

He won quite a few awards for his journalism and news production efforts over the years, working with NPR, CBS, and ABC.
