AT&T Launches Entertainment Site

AT&T is getting into the online content business with the launch of its new website AT&T Entertainment.
AT&T Entertainment is focused on professional content offering TV shows and movies much like Hulu. Content providers include ABC, NBC Universal (via an agreement with Hulu), CBS, CW, Syfy and Bravo.
Users can find content by browsing TV shows and movies alphabetically, by genre, or by network or studio. The site is open to any user, whether you are an AT&T customer or not.
IAB Gets New Chair, Vice Chair

The Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) announced that its Board of Directors has elected Chairman and Founder of 24/7 Real Media as Chairman. In addition, Neil Ashe, President of CBS Interactive was elected Vice Chairman.

CBS Launches Interactive Music Group

CBS announced today it is brining together its CBS Radio online assets and music discovery site Last.fm to create the CBS Interactive Music Group.
CBS Radio has more than 100 music websites, online audio streams, various mobile applications as well as Last.fm The movie puts all the companies digital music assets under one roof. At launch, the combined assets of the newly created CBS Interactive Music Group reach almost 40 million unique monthly users globally.

CBS To Launch New Finance Site
CBS says it will be launching a new finance site this spring called MoneyWatch.comA preview of the site is available at www.MoneyWatch.com. CBS says the personal finance property will be expanded and featured throughout CBS broadcast, radio and mobile platforms. The site will carry business and financial news from CBS Evening News, 60 Minutes and The Early Show.MoneyWatch.com sections will include:The Big Picture, which will focus on how economic changes effects people.
CBS To Air New Show With An Online Element
CBS is launching a new midseason mystery drama called "Harper's Island" that will feature original online content separate from but related to the TV program.CBS teamed with EQAL, the creators of lonelygirl 15 for the 13 - episode series and is launching the social aspect of the show with a site dubbed Harper's Globe that will be complimentary to the television storyline of Harper's Island.
New York Times Selling Front Page Ads
The New York Times has joined the ranks of other major newspapers and is now offering display ads below the fold on its front page.The first ad appearing today was bought by CBS and appears in color below the fold.Other major newspapers that sell front-page display ads include The Wall Street Journal, USA Today and The Los Angeles Times.
Hulu Adds HD Embed and Queue Rearrangement Features
Today was "New Feature Tuesday" again for Hulu as part of the site's Hulu for the Holidays run, an initiative that sees Hulu adding TV shows on Mondays, new features on Tuesdays, and new movies on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
CBS Interactive Sees Boost In Traffic

CBS Interactive said Tuesday it has seen significant traffic increases across all its brands, according to Nielsen online.CBSNews.com saw significant year-over-year increases in unique users (63%), site visits (98%), and total minutes (135%) spent on the site, in large part due to the 2008 elections.
CBS to Take Online Video Seriously
CBS is re-launching TV.com, a site it picked up in its CNET acquisition. Currently, the site is kind of a go-to resource for all things television, except actual TV content. They do have some video clips and episodes of things, but it's not Hulu.
