Shia LaBeouf told us that Lars von Trier was dangerous, but that's just becoming apparent now that the posters for his new film, "Nymphomaniac", have been released.
LaBeouf spoke about the film last year and made headlines when his girlfriend supposedly broke up with him due to the scandalous sex scenes in the movie, which at the time were reportedly real. It's since been reported that the director had the actors do everything they could do on film together, then swapped out their body parts for those of porn actors who are actually doing the deed.
“[The movie] is what you think it is,” LaBeouf said. “It is Lars von Trier, making a movie about what he’s making. For instance, there’s a disclaimer at the top of the script that basically says we’re doing it for real. Everything that is illegal, we’ll shoot in blurred images. Other than that, everything is happening...[Von Trier] is very dangerous. He’s the most dangerous dude that I’ve ever showed up for. I’m terrified. I’m so terrified, which is why I have to go. We’ll see what happens.”
The film, which also stars Uma Thurman, Christian Slater, and Willem Dafoe, won't be released in the U.S. until next year. Until then, enjoy a few of the posters, which may require a cigarette after viewing. You can see the rest of them here.
