Sharon Stone has been battling rumors that she and 27-year old model Martin Mica are splitsville.

It was reported recently that the couple–who share a 27-year age difference–broke up due to a lack of like interests, but they were photographed together in Beverly Hills just yesterday, looking rather close.

Rumors began swirling that the actress and her beau began having troubles when she realized they didn’t share the same goals in life, and that she was just too busy to keep up with a relationship. A “source” told Life & Style Magazine that the age difference didn’t factor in, however.

“She called it off just after the holidays,” the source said. “It wasn’t so much the age difference. They didn’t share the same interests. Her passions are philanthropy, politics, activism — he wasn’t into any of that.”

Stone has taken some flack for the May-December romance, but has said that she’s not afraid to pursue what she wants in life after a near-fatal brain hemorrhage in 2001 and a heartbreaking divorce.

“You don’t go through all I’ve been through and come back and go on with your career unless you’re going to take some very big challenges. I feel OK and I can do it. I also don’t care if I fail because what’s failure? I failed at the biggest things there are in life. I failed in my health, I failed in my marriage, I failed in everything and I’ve picked myself up and gone on. I was really lucky not to die,” she said.

Stone can be seen in the upcoming film “Lovelace”, as porn legend Linda Lovelace’s mother.
