Sean Penn was the butt of a Mick Jagger joke as the Rolling Stones took the stage in Mexico this week for the first time in a decade.

It was at Monday night's concert that the aging front man took the jab at Sean Penn, citing his Rolling Stone interview with Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman while the convicted drug lord was a fugitive from justice.

"Sean Penn came to interview me at the hotel, but I escaped," Mick Jagger said, to rounds of laughter and applause.

The interview Sean Penn conducted with the escaped drug lord has caused much controversy in Mexico.

Do you suppose Sean Penn is a Rolling Stones fan?

It's likely if he was, that he isn't any more. He isn't exactly known for having a good sense of humor.

Fortunately Mick Jagger does. His joke was a pretty good one.
