Sara Gilbert gave birth to her baby boy, with her wife Linda Perry, on Saturday.

The 40-year-old co-host from The Talk is now on maternity leave, as announced by her colleague, Julie Chen.

On Monday's episode of The Talk, Sara Gilbert's absence was felt, but her co-hosts were thinking about, and talking about, the new addition to their "family".

Julie Chen said, "Our very own Sara and her wife Linda are the proud parents of a new baby boy and both mother and child are doing well."

She then added that Sara Gilbert would be on maternity leave for a while and that Alyssa Milano was taking her place at the table.

Another of Sarah Gilbert's co-hosts, Sharon Osbourne, showed a picture of the adorable baby boy, named Rhodes Emilio Gilbert Perry, which caused hosts and audience alike to ooh and aah over his cuteness.

This baby boy is Sara Gilbert's first child with Linda Perry, 49, who is the former singer for 4 Non Blondes and a successful music producer.

Rhodes Emilio Gilbert Perry will join Sara Gilbert's other two children from a previous relationship, Levi, 10, and her daughter Sawyer, 7.

Sara Gilbert and Linda Perry began dating in 2011.

They were married last year in a ceremony witnessed by all of The Talk ladies.

"It was an amazing, amazing night," Aisha Tyler told the audience after Sara Gilbert's wedding to Linda Perry. "[It was] beautiful and it was at sunset and just overlooking the ocean. I mean we can't tell much about it because we want Sara to talk about it."

Julie Chen said, "It was magical. It was the most beautiful ceremony ... When she returns on Monday, we're going to show you pictures from the wedding and talk about it."

And baby makes three. Well, five, technically.

What do you think of Sara Gilbert's baby news?
