Reese Witherspoon Dead, According To Twitter

Reese Witherspoon, arguably one of America’s sweetest sweethearts, has been trending in the news lately because A. she’s going to be in some movies and B. she’s pregnant. Those two things pretty much guarantee an interest in a star, especially at checkout lines and on gossip sites.

But when news started spreading around the web–ahem, Twitter–earlier this week that the actress had been stabbed to death, a different sort of trend began. Luckily for Reese, the news was false, but for a while her fans were upset when they couldn’t find a credible source to prove she wasn’t dead.

This isn’t the first time a death hoax has hounded Reese; fake stories of a fatal stabbing made the rounds in both 2006 and 2010, proving that there are more than a few people with a lot of time on their hands. Rest easy, Reese fans. All is well.

    2:Witherspoon?

    1:No with a knife actually.

It’s been going around for years, I bet this occurence has probably just got a bit out of hand…
