  • The newly released Playstation Vita, which was launched in North America on Feb 22nd, is having a little bit of a hiccup with playing free PS+ mini’s. According to reports from the EU Playstation Blog, when players try to launch a PS+ free mini, they get a C1-2858-3 error code. As of right now, the problem seems to be contained to just the PS+ mini’s that are a “gift” to subscribers every other week. Do not fret, Sony has actually acknowledged the problem and they are working on a fix. As of the time of this article, there has been no confirmed release date for the problem to be resolved.

The Playstation Vita was released in Japan on December 17th, 2011 with a few problems. From lag, to freezing, I’m sure Sony hoped to have all of the bugs ironed out by the time the North American launch happened. While the North American launch has been fairly quiet, minus this mini bug, the first edition bundles have completely sold out, and things look promising for the fledgling hand held system with games such as Mortal Kombat and LittleBigPlanet on the way.

Gamers on the other hand, have other things on their mind.

There are more people playing Vita nearby than the amount of people I have ever StreetPassed since owning my 3DS. 1 day ago via Echofon ·  Reply ·  Retweet ·  Favorite · powered by @socialditto

Seriously, I have to set up a PSN trial account, update the firmware, then link my PSN account again? Vita initial experience is bollocks. 2 days ago via Twitter for Mac ·  Reply ·  Retweet ·  Favorite · powered by @socialditto
