Olympic skier Picabo Street was charged with domestic violence by Utah authorities for an incident that took place back on December 23. The 911 call was released on Thursday.

Heard on the 911 recording, Picabo Street says the fight started when her father, Roland Street, bumped into her house with his car during snowy weather.

“He got his hands on me and I put him down the stairs,” she tells the dispatcher.

A woman who Picabo Street refers to as "Mom" is heard in the background disputing her daughter's version of the incident.

“I saw what you did to him,” the woman says.

“Oh my God, are you kidding me? He scratched me on my face,” Picabo Street replies.

Salt Lake City prosecutors say, following their investigation, that Picabo Street was the aggressor. She is accused of throwing Roland Street down the stairs and locking him in the basement. Mr. Street suffered cuts and bruises on his face and neck.

Also on the 911 recording, Picabo Street is heard explaining that she tried to dig out her parents' car so they could use her car, saying her father “freaks out on me, he always calls me all kinds of names, whatever, tells me I’m a freak.”

Roland Street hasn't been charged in the altercation, nor is he under investigation.

Park City, Utah Summit County prosecutor Ivy Telles says “That’s not to say that Mr. Street was not involved in the altercation at all, it’s just to say that she basically started it.”

The skier, 44, was arrested and bailed out, and later charged with three counts of misdemeanor domestic violence in the presence of a child and one count of misdemeanor assault.

A hearing is set for February 16, and Picabo Street is hoping to find an "amicable resolution" to what she believed to be a private family matter.

Picabo Street was the first American woman to win the World Cup downhill season title in 1995. She served as an analyst for Fox Sports during the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi, Russia.
