My mediaconsumption has shifted dramatically. I like to see print, but I wouldn’t pay for it anymore, while I used to spend over 400 euro’s a year on my newspaper and weekly magazines. Nowadays I primarly use my iPhone and iPad. I use my laptop only for downloading series and movies and for the finer photo editing stuff.

I used to read the newspaper most days but I read less of the news now (it’s too full of commercial and political garbage instead of useful, relevant news, which I partially blame on the consolidation of media companies in the printed news industry. When I do read the news I use my tablet to read online where I have my pick of sources from a pleather of small, medium and large companies including local, regional, national and global news. It’s mostly about the source of the content for me, and the easy accessibility using a tablet. Also, I disagree with supporting printed newspapers because of the waste created & needless energy consumed in the production, distribution and immediate disposal of these papers.
