Paul McCartney took the stage at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn over the weekend and wowed the crowd with his performances, his tributes, and his anecdotes about the iconic people who have passed through his life.

The former Beatle played not just familiar songs, but some older numbers that have never been done on stage before, including “Eight Days A Week” and “Being For The Benefit Of Mr. Kite!”. For that song, he was backed by looping samples of calliope music that harkened back to the days when The Beatles were experimenting with their sound in trippy ways. The songs were done to pay touching tribute to John Lennon, as well as “Here Today”.

The 70-year old icon played a staggering 36-song set for an ecstatic crowd and is moving on through a hectic schedule for his “Out There” tour to Bonaroo. Here’s the setlist for Saturday’s show:

Saw Sir Paul in Memphis and between him and the audience, I’m not sure who was more tired. Outstanding performance and atmosphere. Sir Paul is a true entertainer and very loyal to his fans. Still rocking like he’s in his thirties.
