Nikki Haley: Governor and Bad Mother-Shut-Yo-Mouth

On Wednesday, Governor Nikki Haley of South Carolina gave the people of her state reason to think twice about crossing her.

After Haley was presented with an honorary 4th degree black belt by Donna Smith from the state’s largest tae kwon do tournament, she broke a board with an open-handed punch. She even posted about it on her Facebook page.

Recently, Haley’s husband, Capt. Michael Haley, returned home from Afghanistan.

“Seeing him, I felt like I took my first breath in a year,” Haley said. “I think we will just appreciate this Christmas more because you truly do understand your blessings. When you know you could lose a loved one and to think of that every day, it reminds you truly to be thankful for what you have, and it really helps you understand that a lot of the small things don’t matter.”

Wednesday was the first time Capt. Haley spoke of his service in the Helmand provice of Afghanistan. While his unit was deployed, there were tense moments like when an explosive device hit his convey not once, but twice. Luckily, no one on his agricultural support team were injured.

Wednesday also brought about criticism of the Palmetto State’s governor. The 2013 report card from the state’s democratic leader gave Haley D’s and F’s on 11 matters, according to Carolina Live.

Jamie Harrison, chairman for the South Carolina Democratic Party, says that his state continues to fall further behind in education, economic mobility and safety for women.

“We need a governor for all the people of South Carolina, not just one segment of the population, but all of the people of South Carolina. These things are just systematic of the larger issue that we don’t have real leadership in this state,” said Harrison.

Good thing Harrison isn’t made of wood.

Governor Haley had previously declared the last Saturday of September as Tae Kwon Do Day in South Carolina. Her new black belt is emblazoned with her name in both English and Korean.

I would vote for this woman to be president of the USA. Nikki Haley totally fits the description: A class act,

    • Chrisp

Wow, she’s more of a Dude than the Fairy President.

    • mike forte

This woman wouldn’t be a good president of the local PTA. She is keeping thousands of SC residents from health care for political purposes. She is a waste of space. People like her keep SC years behind the nation.

    • Thomas Dudley

This woman prove s woman can be just as big an a**hole as a man!

  • Andres Bustamante

How trashy! Since when is it acceptable for a woman to be as violent and aggressive as to break a board in public? That is not lady like; not at all. It certainly shows the trashiness of South Carolina.

    • james

      really dude?

    • Chrisp

Is your Son, the inspiration for Pajama Boy?

    • dragontailjunkie

      Shocked, Shocked

    • Rick

Are you kidding me? Trashy? Really? Just because she is a black belt Tae Kwon Do? I think not! What makes a woman trashy is her occupation. Like the world’s oldest profession!

  • Ken

Now here’s a real surprise! Democrats criticizing a Republican – I love these objective evaluations.

  • Stan

I find it hard to believe she is a black belt in anything.

    • bratachari

The board was made of foam. The act is similar to the comic of big time wrestling. She weighs 111 lbs.

      • mandy

Ok. I was under 100lbs and 11and 12 years old breaking REAL WOODEN boards with my hands and feet. And I’m female. What’s the big deal?

        • Rick

You tell him Mandy! I think it’s cool that a lady can defend herself!

  • willie hilton

Why won’t she use her real name Nimrata Nikki Randhawa. That way people know thats its a Indian. Kinda sneaky

    • Joe

Maybe because she, like most married women, uses her husband’s last name. Maybe because she, like many other people, have been called by their middle name her whole life.

    • Jeff

No kidding Willie. You would think that all those conservatives would be demanding she show her birth cirtificate with that kind of name… 😉
It’s also kind of ironic that a person with foreign roots changes their name and goes Republican…Kind of a bit of dissassociative behavior with a ‘pulling up the bridge’ kind of tactic eh?

  • Benny Blaze

Now only if she and our crooked politicians could bring jobs to one of the poorest states in american in south carolina, shame on you Nikki!!!

  • All Politicians are Phony

All politicians are phony and I want to see her knockdown a person 100 pounds heavier than her and who actually fights back. This is all for show. Gotta show you are tough! Too bad in world politics you go about against people like Putin and not small pieces of wood.

Run the state and stop doing this bullshit. There is a reason why the South incarcerates the most people in the nation, has extreme poverty, and consistently has the worse schools.

  • bratachari

The board is made of foam. She reportedly 109 lbs.

  • Seymour

I’d like to see a Nikki Haley / Vladimir Putin cage match. That would be fun and exciting!

  • CE

Meanwhile, her state remains a redneck joke.

    • ryan sabo

meanwhile ce, which stands for “challenged educationally”, proves his ignorance of what this woman is doing as governor. until you inform yourself, refrain from posting your nonsense on message boards, otherwise everyone will have no choice but to consider you dumber than the “redneck jokes”.

  • dragontailjunkie

How do you “earn” and honorary anything?

  • Robert

    I don’t get the headline?

  • Jim

Now whyare the democrats having a war against this woman. They should be saying what a great role model.

  • Jack

This is a wonderful woman. The people of SC are really fortunate to have her. She is courageous and intelligent.

  • The Language Police

    Governor Haley,

Congratulations, but please note–you cannot EARN an honorary degree in anything. Such a degree can only be GIVEN. If you want to sound important, you may say it was AWARDED, but YOU DIDN’T EARN ANYTHING!
