Metro-North Train Derails In New York [BREAKING]By: Lindsay McCane - December 1, 2013
A Metro-North train derailed early this morning in the Bronx along the Hudson River leaving two dead and many injured.
Aaron Donovan, a spokesman for the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, informed us that five out of the seven cars, coming South from Poughkeepsie, New York, derailed at approximately 7:20 a.m. The train left Poughkeepsie at around 5:54 a.m. and was scheduled to arrive at Grand Central at 7:43 a.m.
It is not clear why the train derailed, but Donovan assures us that there will be a thorough investigation to determine the cause. “We are just not sure”, Donovan said. “That will be the subject of a detailed investigation.”[timeout]
