“Liz And Dick”: Movie Reviews, Twitter StyleBy: Amanda Crum - November 26, 2012
Lifetime had what was probably one of its most anticipated movie premieres ever last night, and Twitter users were keeping a running play-by-play as the turbulent story of Liz Taylor and her true love spun out.
Whether it was the novelty of seeing someone as young–and with such a wild history–playing film icon Elizabeth Taylor, or the sheer volume of expectations regarding Lohan’s acting/aging process which drew in audiences is unknown. One thing for sure is that most of those who tuned in are calling it a “train wreck” today and it has been lambasted on just about every news and entertainment site there is. Here are some of the best Twitter reactions.
Actual Train Wrecks reject any offensive comparisons to “Liz and Dick.”
Liz and Dick will get a great rating. It’s Train Wreck TV. Lifetime is brilliant. They should have Lindsay play Jackie O next.
I was watching Liz & Dick and my wife asked if I’d rather she kick me in the nuts instead. I’m heading out to buy an ice pack.
I feel more obligated to watch “Liz and Dick” than I did to go see “Lincoln” – and that’s what makes America #1.
do i watch homeland and dvr liz and dick or do i watch liz and dick and dvr homeland or do i just slowly hang myself while standing on ice?
Hmm….Giants and Packers or Liz and Dick. How about I flip a coin and the side that lands means I watch football.
