Lara Spencer came under fire Tuesday after posting what most believed was a picture of herself sitting on Donald Trump's lap to her Instagram account.
It didn't take long for the comments to commence.
Some told Lara Spencer she was behaving in an unprofessional manner. Others said she was "gross."
Later that same day, Lara Spencer added a new caption to photo in question.
"Let’s clear this up--I’m standing next to Donald Trump. Said a quick hello and welcomed him to the GMA studio for first time since he announced his candidacy," the Good Morning America co-anchor wrote.
Everyone loves to jump on people when they've seemingly made big mistakes. Do you suppose anyone who commented on Lara Spencer's photo before she clarified the situation has ever done anything wrong?
Of course they haven't.
How quickly people jump to the wrong conclusions. Some even gloat as they point fingers.
There is another entire year of campaigning before a new president is elected. How many times between now and then will someone make a gaffe?
Hopefully they will roll with the punches--the way Lara Spencer did this week.
