Google famously has over 200 ranking factors in its algorithm, and has never (and will never) reveal the exact secret sauce, but that doesn’t stop people from trying to crack it.

Backlinko and SingleGrain have put together this infographic aimed at dissecting the algorithm.

Google Ranking Factors

Regardless of how many signals marketers can put their fingers on, Google will never reveal how much weight is given to each one. Google also makes multiple changes every single day, and will always be multiple steps ahead of webmasters.

Backlinko’s Brian Dean discussed the factors in a list back in April.

This is really an awesome list of ranking factors. Even if some or many of the factors which are listed above are not the exact ranking factors as used by Google then also they will definitely add “+” to a website as well as improve the website in some way for sure.

    I’ll say again “AWESOME”

I am glad to see the EMDs as ranking factors in this infographic. It’s true that their value has decreased quite a bit after the EMD update, but they’re still effective.

Talk about “link bait”! This is a great infographic, I have learned a few things. Great for sharing with people who do not understand the roles of SEO in today’s market. Thanks for the resource.

Good to see which ones I forgot that could help increase the rankings of my sites but on the other hand I would like to see a top 10 of most important ones added to the infographic. Besides that the social media should not be that important for Google as most likes are artificial.

tips. I think content consideration is important today. If we like to give
something different then sometimes we want to provide different kind of content.
Having known that the themes support this purpose will ease our blogging
    experience .

What a great post literally bookmarking this, I just had a chat with my
girlfriend about this yesterday who is an accomplished blogger as well. A
great post with a bad title is like a car that runs great but with
    rusted paint on the outside.
