George Wendt, famous for his role as Norm on the long-running sitcom “Cheers”, was hospitalized on Sunday after chest pains caused him to leave rehearsals for the play he’s working on in Chicago.

Wendt will be replaced in a production of “The Odd Couple” by Marc Grapey, but more importantly, he is expected to make a full recovery.

“George is family to us at Northlight and we wish him well for a complete and speedy recovery,” Odd Couple director B.J. Jones said. “He will be missed in the rehearsal room and on stage.”

Jones went on to say, “We are so fortunate to have the brilliant Chicago actor Marc Grapey on our team, who was in the Broadway company of ‘The Odd Couple,’ covering for both Nathan Lane and going on for Matthew Broderick. Marc will step in to the role and we couldn’t be more pleased to have his talent and energy in the cast.”

I am glad the production team mentioned George. I found it interesting that they couln’t help themselves by mentioning how brilliant Grapey is. P.R. never quits!

For Gaad’s sake! Why didn’t they cut off his beenis during the surgery as well??? If they had done so, Mr Wendt would no longer be excitable and would thus have less risk for heart trouble. My Gaad, he’s so goddamn bughtt-ugly no one would go near him anyway, so of what use it to him? His best bet when he got out of surgery would have been to nail his amputated limp dykk up on the wall with an arrow pointing to it saying, “MEMORIES OF DAYS PAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

Hugby, what you said is rude and distasteful. How can you be that heartless? You disgust me by your nasty words and who would be interested in someone like you with that mouth of yours. He is a funny guy and deserves respect like anyone else.

Pay no attention to Hugby, He/she has no idea who George Wendt is, and is upset that George is better looking than he or she is.
That is what people do when they feel so low in life themselves they have to smear other people to make themselves feel a little better.

Hope you never get sick, no one likes mean people to get well. You are rude and kindness seems to escape you
