Funny Or Die Unveils “The Occasional” iPad Magazine

By: Shaylin Clark - March 8, 2012

Humor site Funny Or Die has launched a new digital magazine for the iPad. “The Occasional” is a bi-monthly magazine that will feature a variety of content including interviews, videos, games, and articles. Dick Glover, CEO of Funny Or Die, expressed his excitement at the magazine’s launch, saying “[c]omedy comes in different shapes and sizes, and through this medium our creative team came up with truly innovative content that is a great addition to the Funny Or Die universe.” He promised that The Occasional’s content would be “funnier than hell for fans, users, readers, and whomever else goes to the App Store.”

The iPad app is available as a free download from the App Store and will appear in Newsstand. The magazine itself is $1.99 per issue, or $9.99 for an annual subscription. New issues come out every other month, totaling six per year. Issues and subscriptions are all purchased from within the app, and new issues are delivered automatically.
