Fukushima Radiation – Homeless To Clean Up?

A man named Seiji Sasa is on a mission – recruiting homeless people from the Sendai Train Station for labor on the worst job in the world, cleaning up the nuclear waste of Fukushima.

According to Sasa – the homeless people in the train station are potential laborers that he can dispatch to contractors in Japan’s nuclear disaster zone for a bounty of $100 a head.

“This is how labor recruiters like me come in every day,” Sasa says, as he strides past men sleeping on cardboard and clutching at their coats against the early winter cold.

Cleaning up industrial radioactive fallout is the most undesirable job in the world, and it seems the only way to find people willing to work for minimum wage is to go out and recruit the homeless. After all, they don’t have much else to do.

When the March 2011 earthquake hit, followed by a massive tsunami that leveled villages across Japan’s northeast coast – it began the next hazardous disaster – the multiple meltdowns at the Fukushima Nuclear Plant. The disaster is still prevalent today, and causing immense damage to humans, fish, and all other life.

Now, three years later, the crucial clean up of the Fukushima disaster is behind schedule. The slow effort has been blamed on a lack of oversight and a shortage of workers, according to a Reuters analysis of contracts and interviews with dozens of those involved.

In October, homeless men were rounded up at Sendai’s train station by Sasa, then put to work clearing radioactive soil and debris in Fukushima City for less than minimum wage, according to police and accounts of those involved. The men reported up through a chain of three other companies to Obayashi, Japan’s second-largest construction company.

Now the Japanese mob is being charged with illegally accessing the construction giant Obayashi Corp’s network of decontamination subcontractors and illegally sending workers to the government-funded project.

Obayashi, however, has not been accused of any wrongdoing. But the series of arrests has shown that members of Japan’s three largest mob syndicates – Yamaguchi-gumi, Sumiyoshi-kai and Inagawa-kai – were setting up a “black market” recruit of laborers under their company name.

“We are taking it very seriously that these incidents keep happening one after another,” said Junichi Ichikawa, a spokesman for Obayashi. He said the company tightened its scrutiny of its lower-tier subcontractors in order to shut out gangsters, known as the yakuza. “There were elements of what we had been doing that did not go far enough.”

Sadly, a large number of these homeless people recruited are not being paid even the minimum wage and end up with next to nothing after fees are taken out of their checks to pay for food and lodging.

The biggest problem is where to put the radioactive debris. Apparently Japan’s budget has a provision for an intermediate storage facility designed to hold up to 28 million cubic meters for about 30 years, but that isn’t going into effect until next year. For now though, being so behind schedule is a major issue to the local residents, who haven’t been able to move back into their homes since the onset of this tragedy.

You know there is so much evil in this world. It is getting worse everyday. Ah, the homeless aren’t worth anything so let’s go send them to clean up radioactive debris!!!! Hey, they will get cancer and they will die and two problems are solved.

I promise everyone out there that Jesus Christ is the son of God. What he said is all true. He told us to take care of the poor. Love each other. Christ is not a joke. If we don’t do these things, all of us will be held accountable. I also promise you that since 9/11 a great amount of evil has taken over this world. We all see it. We all feel it.

You know. We forget that Christ was a convict. He was an innocent man that was testified against by lying witnesses, convicted by a kangaroo court, and killed by essentially corrupt police. He literally saw all the corruption that exists within government. If a government will do that to Jesus Christ, what on earth would they do to me or you? As we have seen recently, government will go to great lengths to set people up and entrap them. How much further will they go?

Will they send innocent people to clean up radioactive debris and literally charge them to do so? Well, I guess the answer is ….. yes.

We better start treating each other better because if you have noticed lately, all the people in the world are being treated like garbage by their governments. It is not just a Japanese, Russian, Syrian, or Chinese thing. It is also an American thing. It is all the governments against their people.

JAPAN RADIATION POISONING AMERICA? New concerns hitting U.S. Pacific coast
    Dec 30, 2013 WorldNetDaily

“The world is closely watching whether we can dismantle the Fukushima plant, including the issue of contaminated water,” said Prime Minister Abe. “Japanese government is determined to work hard to resolve the issue.”

This is quite a change from previous statements Prime Minister Abe has made. In a speech Sept. 7 in front of the International Olympic Committee in Buenos Aires, Prime Minister Abe stated categorically, “Let me assure you the situation (the contaminated groundwater problem) is under control.”

6 days later, Tokyo Electric disputed Prime Minister Abe’s claim at a meeting in Fukushima.
“We regard the current situation as NOT being under control,” said Tokyo Electric.
Tokyo was awarded the 2020 Olympic Games following Prime Minister Abe’s speech.

The radiation is so out of control the Japanese have no idea what to do… the radioactive waste is killing people and marine life – and has hit the Pacific coast already contaminating its shores and fish.

I am sickened – and even though Japan is ultimately not at fault – it was caused by an earthquake and tsunami – their reaction after the fact has been lax to say the least.

Nuclear power is a dangerous thing….

Learn from Gorbachev and how he handled Chernobyl . Use the military 2 hrs per person and encase in cement, sand and boric acid. ORGANIZE an effective team and do the honorable thing for the Earth and ALL of the people living on it! Japan needs to learn from history and handle this very differently.

why are homeless people sent there to clean up the mess ? they are definitely not the persons who are responsible of this tragedy (moreover, homeless people don’t use electricity from any nuclear plant ) “After all, they don’t have much else to do” is an unbelievable reason.. is this a joke? how is it possible for a journalist to write this? how people can let this be? Are all the governements of this world going to do something together about this mess ? .. this is concerning everyone of us, and every living cell on this planet.. But i guess those same countries have to much money to spend on wars, weapons, medias, banks…I’m from France and the mainstream medias here never talk about what’s going on there in japan, pacific ocean, west American coast… This insane world is incredible and incredibly getting worse every passing year, whereas there’s ervything to make it better and safe for all of us.. Crazy. I’m ashamed to be a human.
