Rumors are once again swirling that Elisabeth Hasselbeck may soon lose her seat at the table on the daytime talk show The View.

Last week, rumors began to surface that the show’s token conservative would be let go to “freshen” the show’s lineup. Barbara Walters later came out stating that there were “no plans” to fire Hasselbeck.

Now, the New York Post is reporting that ABC is indeed looking to ditch Hasselbeck. Citing an unnamed source, the publication claims that Hasselbeck will be off the show when her contract is up next year, and that it could be even sooner if ABC executives can convince her to leave.

Hasselbeck got her start on TV as a contestant in the second season of the reality TV show Survivor, Survivor: The Australian Outback, in 2001. Though Hasselbeck placed fourth on the show, she went on to host The Look for Less on the Style Network and was selected to replace Lisa Ling on The View in 2003. Hasselbeck’s conservative political leanings have led to several famous arguments on the show, particularly ones involving co-host Whoopi Goldberg.

I don’t know why anyone would want to be on that piece of crap show anyhow. She makes sense the others are making noise.

So you watch the show? Yeah, thats why they are getting rid of her, because she makes sense….just like you do, Dave.

Oh PLEASE say its true!! Her husband just got canned and he was probably the reason she got the job anyway. She has NOTHING in her background to justify her landing the role on the view…which stinks anyway! Hope Whoopie is next!

Her brother in law got canned, her husband is Tim!!

They should get back the original four: Debbie, Merideth, the one they fired that was obsessed with her wedding and kept her weight loss a secret (can’t remember her name). Now that would be interesting.

Like Joy is good. You must be kidding.

I like Elizabeth and I certainly agree with her view of this liberal old world. The trouble is she gets talked over when she tries to give her opinion.

  • Kim

I’ll be glad to see her go. She doesn’t have “discussions”, she shrieks her views out like a petulant toddler. Doesn’t matter whether I agree or disagree with her points; I refused to watch the show because her screeching made my eardrums bleed…

I had to stop watching that show. They are all too annoying . I heard that Joy has left. She was the worsed one of all.I cannot go back to watching that show. ever, ever, ever!

I quit watching that show when Star Jones left; and they brought in too many liberals to suit me. It isn’t a discussion anymore it is their way or the highway. Glad Joy is leaving; whoopi should be next. Barbara Walters is too old; she thinks she is 50; too many face lifts. I like Elizabeth; she is the only sane one of the group.

You should watch FOX they have what you want ALL DAY and NIGHT.

That’s funny since Elizabeth has always been outnumbered at least 3 to 1. Having worked for three different network news organizations, I find your comment quite ironic!

  • Robin

ELizabeth never brought much to the table other than screaming her points of you. I always fast forwarded through her comments when possible. I LOVE WHOOPIE!!!!!! Joy will be missed.

  • Toni

    Just go.

  • jeanholtslander

I am glad Joy is leaving as she cant say anything unless it has sex in it. Elizabeth has to raise her voice as no one wants to let her talk. She and Whoopie are the most sensible.

  • Lynn

Joy and Whoopi should stay and Elizabeth and Sherri should go. Barbara should retire.
