  • Duck Dynasty is on a roll. Not only was family patriarch Phil Robertson suspended and then reinstated on the show, but now the family has decided they will start making guns. Duck Commander has teamed up with the gun maker Mossberg to create their own gun line that they hope will do as well as their other products and television show.

The companies will work together to release nine different shotguns, two semiautomatic rifles, and a semiautomatic pistol. Some of the guns have already been made and have been shipped to distributors. Mossberg has not yet said which distributors or stores will carry the new Duck Commander guns.

The Duck Commander guns will come in a “waterfowl pattern” camouflage but that doesn’t mean they can only be used to hunt waterfowl. Buyers can expect the guns to perform as well as they look. Mossberg’s website says the firearms will all come with an American flag bandana like the one worn by Willie on the show.

Mossberg currently has 4 advertisements for the guns on their website. In one of the ads, Phil says, “Do you know what makes me happy ladies and gentlemen? To blow a mallard drake’s head smooth off.”

It’s safe to say both Phil and the rest of the Robertson family are happy to have him back on the show and working with the company. The new line of guns is just what the Robertson clan needs to help them forget about Phil’s suspension and get back on track with their company.
