Capcom this week released the first real DLC for its Devil May Cry (DmC) reboot. Titled “Bloody Palace,” the extra content includes the popular Bloody Palace Mode in which players can battle through over 100 levels against progressively harder enemies. The content is free, aside from some optional weapon packs that also went on sale this week for $1 or 80 MIcrosoft Points each. The launch preview for the add-on, which includes plenty of gameplay footage, can be seen below.

Today’s real news, though, is that Capcom has finally put a date to the first story-based DLC for DmC. The “Vergil’s Downfall” DLC will be released on March 5 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. The add-on will cost $9, but is free for players who pre-ordered DmC at GameStop.

“Vergil’s Downfall” will feature a new campaign starring Datne’s brother, Vergil. The content will include new locations, enemies, move sets, and weapons.

i just seen youtube videos of the campaign for vergils downfall,is it true that vergil only has 6 missions??,i noe this is a reboot but for all the waiting we only get 6? even on the old one even though vergil clearly follow his own story but we got 20 from that,i love devil may cry games nd this is the first complaint ive had ever,im feelin a little underappreciated as a die hard fan

This is false advertisement, I’ve scooped around and found that it does not come out today, the true date for the DLC content is the 6th of March, you should be sued for wrongfully putting a false date on an item.

Where is the dlc?!? Heard it was supposed to come out today and no email from capcom giving me my code!!! This is complete bs!!! First ninja theory says the dlc for Vergil will be dropped sometime in February ummm yea it’s now March!!! Get your shit together!!!

Yeah it has been a day later and STILL no email. If you call capcom they just ignore your call about the free DLC token. This is getting pathetic. I will never trust a promise from capcom again
