David Schwimmer is set to play Kris Jenner's late ex-husband and O.J. Simpson's attorney Robert Kardashian Sr., alongside Cuba Gooding Jr. as O.J. Simpson, in the upcoming miniseries American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson.
The 10-episode series, directed by Ryan Murphy and starring American Horror Story's Sarah Paulson as prosecutor Marcia Clark, will document Simpson's 1995 murder trial in the death of his wife Nicole Simpson Brown.
According to an FX press release, "the miniseries takes a look at the O.J. Simpson trial told from the perspective of the lawyers that explores the chaotic behind-the-scenes dealings and maneuvering on both sides of the court." In addition, it will examine how "a combination of prosecution confidence, defense wiliness, and the LAPD’s history with the city’s African-American community gave a jury what it needed: reasonable doubt."
