If you’re of a certain age, you remember what TGIF really means: the best night on television for a teen/tween. We had “Full House”, “Step By Step”, “Family Matters”, and, of course, “Boy Meets World”.

If you were a boy, you watched “BMW” for Topanga, because, you know, boobs. If you were a girl, you watched for Shawn Hunter, a.k.a. Ryder Strong, because he was the cute bad-boy with a heart of gold. Plus, he had that awesome poor-white-trash-lost-puppy thing going on that girls love.

In the years since the show’s end, we haven’t seen much of the stars; Ben Savage has done a handful of TV movies and shows, while Danielle Fishel, who played Topanga, has done a few TV shows and some straight-to-DVD movies. Of the core cast, Strong is the one I’ve seen the most of, namely as the lead character in Eli Roth’s brilliant flesh-eating-virus hellscape known as “Cabin Fever”. Still, he’s been mostly low-key as well…until now.
