Bobby Brown’s fiancee and his undying love for Whitney House were the top of conversation when the musician sat down with Matt Lauer for a recent “Today Show” interview. Truthfully, I’m kind of surprised that we didn’t hear more from Bobby Brown after Houston’s passing last February. I guess I sold the guy short, as I was almost positive he would use the opportunity to get his face all over television screens and magazine covers. Oh, what a heel I am.

During the interview, Brown revealed that he’s still very much in love with Whitney despite the fact that he’s happily engaged. He also touched on the rumors that it was hit fault the beloved singer/actress had developed a drug problem, an allegation he denies with every ounce of his being. Brown goes on to discuss how Houston looked before her death, and wonders if he could have done more to help his ex-wife with her troubles.

“Maybe I could have done something different. You know?” Brown explained to Matt Lauer. “To ensure she had a longer life. But you have to want it.”

After watching the interview, I can honestly say that I have a lot more respect for the “New Edition” singer than I did beforehand. You can tell that he’s still grieving over Houston’s untimely demise, and, honestly, it’s a little hard to watch. Anyone who’s ever lost someone they love in such a horrific manner can easily relate to the man’s pain. Even if you’re not a fan of Brown’s career or his antics, you can tell he’s genuinely heartbroken over the loss.

Curious parties can watch footage from the interview below.

  • http://www.facebook.com Victor lucas

I think,it was love that both spouse.so,no matter what must had led to Whitney‘s deat,Bobby Brown still love his deceased wife. However, the act of taking drugs is a dirty lifestyle and it leads to untimely death.

  • Linda

    PROOF READ PLEASE

  • http://yahoo.com Linda

It is a tragedy that Whitney passed away. She relied upon her substances to replace love or something else in her life that she didn’t disclose. We should not judge her against our own life, because we do not know how she was feeling and kept it to herself.

I would like to know how come there are so many actors/millionares/billionares that are addicted to drugs and apparently have their “own” drug dealers/deliveries and the law enforcement just looks for the “petty” drug dealer. Don’t you think it is time to find out WHO is the uppity delivery of drugs?

Let’s get real, Whitney didn’t didn’t have to go to the “drive” to find someone to deliver…it is someone that “delivers” to the stars on a regular basis…

Let’s find the people who are delivering this….you can’t get into their gated communities but their drug deliveries seem to get through.

I belive it is time for the Drug Law Enforcement to start target this area of money instead of the petty drug dealer.

    • PattyKaye

Linda, you are absolutely RIGHT that drug dealers certainly seem to be able to get their dirty products to their wealthy clients. A probe should be started into how and where Whitney Houston got her drugs. That person (or those persons) who supplied her should be brought to jail and judgment swiftly and with no mercy. The sooner we begin this probe, the better. Especially since a death resulted from this person’s greed!

  • Corletta L.Hardy

Bobby Brown was honest he is not the blame for Whitney Houston death,I love Whitney .God loves her more and people needs to stop pointing the blame at Bobby Brown.Whitney is with the angels she is resting in the arms of the almighty God.I will just pray for the family and fans and love ones.

  • Good Will Talking

“He also touched on the rumors that it was hit fault the beloved singer/actress had developed a drug problem,…”

Did you not proofread? Besides the glaringly obvious error of getting her name wrong, “hit” should have been “his” in the above sentence. For gosh sakes, don’t people proofread anymore?

  • Dory

I can see someone only relied on spellcheck and didn’t proofread.

  • Annie

I feel discussed with some of you, that ALL you can write is about a typo error. Haven’t any of you ever made one..>??? What idiots.Keep the conversation where it belongs, on a sad time of Whitney’s death.

    • sue

“discussed” ???? You mean disgusted? No wonder you are “discussed” that people were pointing out typos.

  • twokeys

I feel there is no reason to pint the finger everybody has a choice to use drugs or don’t they were young and had issues just like every humanbeing in the world. But to keep pointing the finger at this man is just wrong! Let it go!

  • cynthia

the topic has nothing to do with the article “Bobby’s fiancee & Whitney” the fiancee had nothing to do with the subject matter so why even put a reference to her at all.

  • cynthia

I have to admit that there are some of you who do need to return to school and take a refresher course in english because most of you suck win it comes to spelling, or at least have a dictionary handy.

    • bob

oh do people suck “win” it comes to spelling or did you mean “when” dumbass

  • http://yahoo catherine

i have lost sisters and brothers to drugs bobby brown is not the blame for whitney’s drug addiction whitney was the blame you have to look at her life and see what was gooing on with her she had a daughter and still was a user of drugs and i believe the press should stop talking about whitneys drug habits and start just remembering whitney the press loves negative reporting whitney left a daughter and mother do you think the want to keep hearing the negative things talk about the good thingsin her life and if you are reporting that bobby christina is on the same path as her mother than people should try to help her than get showing her in negative way

    • Francine J. Morshed

Please take a course in grammar and punctuation. Also, please organize your thoughts when expressing yourself. Thank You.

  • cyndi

there are way too many errors in this article. the whole article didnt even have anything to do with Bobby’s fiancee. very misleading heading

  • Francine J. Morshed

Nobody forces anyone to do anything. However, curiosity sometimes kills the cat. I strongly believe that our beloved Whitney Houston would be alive today, had she not met Bobby Brown. Bobby Brown has a well known publicized drug and criminal history. Her life was on a downward spiral, shortly after they married. Her introduction to drug use was influenced by him. As portrayed in, “Being Bobby Brown” they led a life of partying which included drug use. Read between the lines!!! Addiction is very powerful and very hard to stop, once you are caught in its jaws. Although, they divorced she was still trapped “in the mind.” God Bless You, Whitney Houston. I will miss you and play your songs, FOREVER!!!!!!!!!

  • Deana

It really is a shame, till this day I still feel sorry for the lost of such a talented and gifted woman. She was special in her own way. She had accomplished so much in the early years and would had accomplished much more than what had before her death. I truly believe that the grace of God was evident in her life. Those that were much closer to her should have been more tough with her. Especially Mr. Davis, who made huge amounts of money thanks to Ms. Whitney Houston. She should have never returned that quickly to work until she had completely dealt with her demons. But It seems that the pressure and obligation of having to complete a 100 million dollar contract was much more important than the drug addiction, emotional conflict than Whitney Houston had to struggle with. This so cruel and so is the media buy the way they would make fun and laugh about her personal struggles. JESUS once said, He that is free of sin to throw the first stone. Whitney Houston will go on in history as the greatest artist of all times with the greatest voice ears will ever here again who touched the lives of many and we lost her to drug addiction. The demon that plaques our communitys all over the world taking away and destroying the lives of many loved ones. She is now in a better place, free and not judge before the presence of a man she so much loved and knew him well, his name is Jesus! Oh how he loved her so!.. Rest in peace my dear sister your finally home!
