Such a high-profile romance as the one Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez have had for the past two years isn’t easy to keep private. The young couple make up part of Hollywood’s royalty, with their every action documented online whether they like it or not. With the news that they’ve now split up, the web is having a field day…but neither one of them want to address the rumors.

With neither star talking, it’s hard to separate truth from fiction, but a “source” told People Magazine recently that Selena ended the relationship because of trust issues.

“She broke up with him about a week ago,” the source said. “With them being apart so much it got complicated. She had some trust issues. It’s not easy, but the relationship needed to end.”

During a recent interview with Open House Party Radio, Justin was asked about the status of his relationship, and things got tense really quickly, so maybe there is something to the rumors.

“I don’t know what to say,” he said. “I don’t know if really — if you even know what’s going on in my life, so to even assess that doesn’t make any sense, because I’ve not made any comments.”
