Beverly Johnson, a supermodel who has accused Bill Cosby of drugging her, is now involved in a lawsuit.

Cosby filed the suit against Johnson for her statements, some of which were made in her book The Face That Changed It All, and asks in the suit for her to change a passage in her book that asserts Cosby drugged her coffee when she came to read a part for The Cosby Show in the '80s. Beverly Johnson has said that when she told him she was feeling sick and refused to become intimate with him, he dragged her out to the street and put her in a cab.

“Mr. Cosby states that he never drugged defendant and her story is a lie," said Cosby's attorney, Monique Pressley. "The suit further states that defendant’s entirely fabricated accusations are nothing more than an opportunistic attempt to resuscitate her own career and benefit herself financially from the wave of media attention surrounding her false allegations against Mr. Cosby, including the use of that attention as a basis to generate interest in, and promote sales of her recently published memoir, which devotes an entire chapter to the same lies about Mr. Cosby drugging her that she has repeated to every media publication, newspaper, magazine, or TV show that will hear her."

The lawsuit is the first on behalf of Cosby against someone who hadn't sued him first; he has countersued several of the other women who accused him of sexual assault. Cosby is seeking damages for defamation and says Johnson is simply trying to draw attention to her career.

More than 50 women have accused Cosby of sexual assault, many of whom say he drugged them first.

Beverly Johnson issued a statement to Huffington Post recently that read:

“I am aware of the statements from Bill Cosby. In cases of rape and abuse, abusers will do whatever they can to intimidate and weaken their victims to force them to stop fighting. I ask for your support of all of the victims involved. Thank you.”
