Batman: Arkham Origins has only a few more weeks until it has to prove whether or not it lives up to the high pedigree set by Arkham Asylum and Arkham City. Even if it doesn't, you'll at least have a stellar looking mobile game to play.
At New York Comic-Con, WB Games announced that it's bringing a scaled-down version of Batman: Arkham Origins to mobile devices. Like Batman: Arkham City for iOS, this version of the game doesn't feature any of the open world exploration mechanics that fans have come to expect from the franchise. Instead, the mobile iteration focuses exclusively on combat.

What makes the mobile game stand out from its predecessor is that it plays more like a one-on-one fighter this time around. That's because the game was developed by NetherRealm Studios - the team behind this year's Injustice: Gods Among Us.
